Porn, advertising and cryptocurrencies, what do they have in common?

Anonymity, so desirable in the case of pornography and cryptocurrencies, has made these industries join forces. PornViosory, a project based on this combination, wants to enter the market by paying tokens for the use of their website. The idea of rewarding crypto for watching ads is not that new.

PornHub is supporting crypto payments.

Since 2018, PornHub has been making payments using cryptocurrencies. Surely this kind of payment helped the company when unexpectedly PayPal stopped supporting their payments. Currently, about 10% of the platform’s revenue comes from this source. Firstly, the payment was possible in Verge, but over time other cryptocurrencies have also been added. One of the newest currencies that can be used to pay on PornHub is Tether. The platform has noticed that fast, cheap transactions combined with an anonymous account are something that is appreciated by a growing number of users. Perhaps PornHub will also introduce payments using the most popular cryptocurrencies like BTC and ETH because they are not supported by the site yet.

PornVisory and its business idea

Verocnica Noschese, a founder of PornVisory, believes that there is a natural connection between the anonymity of cryptocurrencies and pornography. This is a sensitive issue and it is better not to pay for adult films from the same account you use with your wife. PornVisory is inspired by the Brave Browser, where users receive BAT tokens for the watching special ads. PornVisory will award PVY tokens in exchange for watching ads. These tokens could be used as tips for streamers or in sex shops. The service is so far an Italian-speaking adult information service, but it is expected to become available in English, and overtime to later become a website with porn videos and a live streaming platform.

Awards for watching commercials

There has long been a form of reward for watching an advertisement on the Internet. However, advertisers are often fooled by how many people have actually watched an ad. This is where the creators of Brave Browser come in for help. The website grants BAT (Basic Attention Token) in exchange for watching ads, whether a user sees ads is fully dependent on them. The prize for watching an ads is supposed to go to the user, instead of going to middlemen. This is to simplify the way ads work on the web, allowing you to avoid middlemen and directly place advertising content through a decentralized BAT blockchain system. The browser aims to better match advertisements to the audience, more effectively than cookies.

Revolutionary solutions with blockchain

Cryptocurrencies bring with them a new solution for privacy, payment and even viewing ads. They have a chance to revolutionize the world as we know it, make it more modern and give us even more freedom.
